Whoosh!

November has gone by way too fast. Here are some hilights:

  • The Kid started sleeping through the night!
  • She took the bottle with no issues.
  • I was recognized as one of the top performers in the company at the national awards banquet in Las Vegas. I ended up finishing in the to 20 out of nearly 300 salespeople. I was #1 in the company for the month of September.
  • Watched football as my father-in-law finished our kitchen - installing the crown moulding, knobs, & pulls.
  • Brined & smoked two turkeys for Thanksgiving; they were absolutly delicious. Here is the recipe.
  • Bought a new amp for the electric guitar - all tubes; it sounds incredible next to the piddly little thing I played through before. Now I just need to learn to actually play the thing.
  • Went to my first Apple Cup. The tailgating was fantastic, the final score, no so much.
  • I've been invited to interview for the Sales Manager Institute; my company's management training school; they only take 5-8 people a year. My boss's boss tells me I'm in, but I still have to fly to California to interview next week.
All in all, not a bad month for a short, white guy with glasses!

Yeah, our first starting sleeping through the night at 3 months, which was a blessing. The second didn't until he was well over 2 years old, which nearly killed me and him.
